The League of Friends role is to relieve patients and invalids of the Halstead Hospital and Community & Rural Areas who are sick, convalescent, disabled, handicapped, infirm and to generally support charitable work of the hospital. 1) TO FURTHER THE IMPROVEMENTS OF HEALTHCARE AT THE HALSTEAD HOSPITAL AND WITHIN THE HALSTEAD URBAN AND RURAL AREAS SERVED BY THE HOSPITAL AND OTHER COMMUNITY SERVICES. 2) IN PARTICULAR, TO RELIEVE PATIENTS AND FORMER PATIENTS OF THE HALSTEAD HOSPITAL AND OTHER INVALIDS IN THE COMMUNITY WHO ARE SICK, CONVALESCENT, DISABLED, HANDICAPPED, INFIRM OR IN NEED OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AND, GENERALLY, TO SUPPORT THE CHARITABLE WORK OF THE SAID HOSPITAL.
