The charity was established to provide an episcopal endowment fund for the Jerusalem Bishopric. The area of benefit was extended to include the rest of the Province of Jerusalem & the Middle East and again in 2020 to include the Province of Alexandria. In 2015 it acquired 2 endowments; Revd Stephen Campbell Charity and The Mission Trust Ltd Charitable Gift, and in 2021 the Egypt Bishopric Fund.
