Charitable objects
1 TO RELIEVE ELDERLY PEOPLE RESIDENT IN TAVISTOCK AND ITS NEIGHBOURING PARISHES WHO ARE IN NEED BY PROVIDING ITEMS, SERVICES OR FACILITIES DESIGNED TO RELIEVE THE NEEDS OF SUCH PERSONS, INCLUDING; THE PROVISION OF A COMMUNITY TRANSPORT SERVICE FOR THOSE WHO ARE IN NEED OF SUCH A SERVICE BECAUSE OF AGE, SICKNESS OR DISABILITY (MENTAL OR PHYSICAL) OR POVERTY, OR BECAUSE OF A LACK OF AVAILABILITY OF ADEQUATE AND SAFE PUBLIC PASSENGER SERVICES; AND 2 TO PROMOTE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF TAVISTOCK AND THE SURROUNDING AREA THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR RECREATION OR OTHER LEISURE TIME OCCUPATIONS FOR INDIVIDUALS WHO MAY REQUIRE SUCH SERVICES BY REASON OF THEIR AGE, INFIRMITY OR DISABLEMENT, FINANCIAL HARDSHIP OR SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC CIRCUMSTANCES, IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE OF THE SAID INHABITANTS.
