Charitable objects
2.1. The Charity's objects are restricted specifically:
2.1.1. To advance the education of the public in the subject of modern (contemporary) art;
2.1.2. To promote work produced by contemporary artists who were born in, live in, or attained their arts-based degree in the north of England (“Northern Artists”), for the benefit and education of the public, through some or all of the following activities:
2.1.2.1. The establishment of exhibitions open to entries from Northern Artists;
2.1.2.2. The placement of Northern Artists’ work in galleries;
2.1.2.3. The award of financial grants to Northern Artists;
2.1.2.4. The running of education programmes; and/or
2.1.2.5. The establishment and maintenance of a collection of art by Northern Artists.
