The ASA encourages sailing, including racing, amongst all ranks in the Army, balancing the interests of its individual members and its constituent clubs and, also, between the needs of recreational sailing, competitive sport and sail training. The ASA co-ordinates and administers the RYA National Training Schemes for sailing in the Army.
