Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE CHARITY ARE THE PROMOTION OF RELIGIOUS HARMONY FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY: (A) TO ADVANCE UNDERSTANDING OF RELIGIOUS FAITH AND, IN PARTICULAR, OF THE NINE WORLD FAITHS: BAHA’I FAITH; BUDDHISM; CHRISTIANITY; HINDUISM; ISLAM; JAINISM; JUDAISM; SIKHISM AND ZOROASTRIANISM; (B) TO PROMOTE AWARENESS OF THE CONTRIBUTION OF RELIGIOUS FAITH AND FAITHS, IN PARTICULAR TO PROMOTE UNDERSTANDING OF THE CONTRIBUTION OF RELIGIOUS FAITHS TO COMMUNITY LIFE IN GREATER LONDON; AND (C) TO PROMOTE MUTUAL UNDERSTANDING, COLLABORATION AND GOOD RELATIONS BETWEEN FAITH COMMUNITIES AND WIDER SOCIETY, TO PROVIDE A PLATFORM FOR FAITH COMMUNITIES TO ENGAGE WITH PUBLIC BODIES AND BUSINESSES IN GREATER LONDON. (D) TO BE A CENTRE FOR RESEARCH, INFORMATION, DEBATE, DISCUSSION AND CROSS-SECTOR ENGAGEMENT ON ISSUES RELATING TO REGIONAL POLICY AND THE CONCERNS OF LONDON’S FAITH GROUPS; AND (E) TO FACILITATE FAITH COMMUNITY ORGANISATIONS IN DEVELOPING EXPERTISE IN SOCIAL POLICY AREAS, FORMING NETWORKS AND PARTNERSHIPS AND BEING ABLE TO INITIATE CIVIC ENGAGEMENT ON ISSUES OF CONCERN TO THEM.
