Boathouse Theatre Arts provides specialist performing arts projects for children and young adults who have a learning and/or physical disability. Boathouse runs three groups: Boathouse for Children (aged 5-15); Boathouse Theatre Company (young adults); and a Sensory group for adults who have profound and multiple disabilities. Boathouse is based in Hastings and Bexhill.

TO PROMOTE FOR THE BENEFIT OF YOUNG PEOPLE THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR RECREATION AND LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION, IN PARTICULAR PERFORMING AND THEATRE ARTS, OF INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE NEED OF SUCH FACILITIES BY REASON OF THEIR DISABLEMENT, IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE, WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITION OF LIFE OF SAID YOUNG PEOPLE.
