The objects of the charity are set out in rule 2 of the Rules of the Belfry Repairs Fund and are as follows: The object of the Fund shall be to advance the Christian Religion by providing grants towards repairs, renovation (excluding ropes) or augmentations of existing rings of bells and the installation of sound control apparatus in towers within the Associations area

Charitable objects
THE OBJECT OF THE FUND SHALL BE TO ADVANCE THE CHRISTIAN RELIGION BY PROVIDING GRANTS TOWARDS NEW RINGS OF BELLS, THE REPAIR, RENOVATION (EXCLUDING ROPES) OR AUGMENTATION OF EXISTING RINGS OF BELLS, THE TRANSFER OF RINGS OF BELLS, AND THE INSTALLATION OF SOUND CONTROL APPARATUS PROVIDED IN TOWERS WITHIN THE ASSOCIATION'S AREA. GRANTS MAY ALSO BE PROVIDED TOWARDS MAINTENANCE INSPECTIONS AND BASIC MAINTENANCE UNDERTAKEN BY PROFESSIONAL BELL HANGING COMPANIES.
