TO PROVIDE SUCH GRANTS OR DONATIONS AS THE TRUSTEES SHALL THINK FIT FOR THE FOLLOWING PURPOSES: 1) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF YOUNG PEOPLE UP TO THE AGE OF 30 WHO ARE ENTERING AN APPRENTICESHIP OR ATTENDING FURTHER OR HIGHER EDUCAITON; 2) TO SUPPORT SUCH PURPOSES AS ARE CHARITABLE ACCORDING TO THE LAWS OF ENGLAND AND WALES FOR THE GENEFIT OF THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF DURHAM.
