THE SOCIETY IS ESTABLISHED FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT FOR THE FOLLOWING PURPOSES IN THE AREA COMPRISING THE TOWN OF HARWICH AND THE PARISHES OF RAMSEY AND PARKESTON, WRABNESS, WIX, GREAT OAKLEY AND LITTLE OAKLEY WHICH AREA SHALL HEREINAFTER BE REFERRED TO AS, "THE HARWICH AREA". A) TO STIMULATE PUBLIC INTEREST IN HARWICH AREA. B) TO PROMOTE HIGH STANDARDS OF PLANNING AND ARCHITECTURE IN THE HARWICH AREA. C) TO SECURE THE PRESERVATION, PROTECTION, DEVELOPMENT AND IMPROVEMENT OF FEATURES OF HISTORIC OR PUBLIC INTEREST IN THE HARWICH AREA.
