TO PROVIDE FACILITIES, IN PARTICULAR DIGITAL ARCHIVES, TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC, INCLUDING ADVANCING ITS KNOWLEDGE OF THE ORIGINS, GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT OF MUSIC AND RELATED ARTISTIC, CULTURAL AND ENDEAVOURS IN THE GREATER MANCHESTER AREA AND PROMOTING AN UNDERSTANDING OF THE CONTRIBUTION THAT THIS HAS MADE TO THE EDUCATION AND WELL-BEING OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC. 2. TO RAISE THE ARTISTIC AND CREATIVE CAPABILITIES OF THE PUBLIC BY PROVIDING ACCESSIBILITY TO DOCUMENTATION AND AUDIO-VISUAL RECORDS OF THE CONTRIBUTION THAT MUSIC AND RELATED ARTISTIC AND CULTURAL ACTIVITIES HAVE MADE AND ARE MAKING TO THE LIFE AND WELL BEING OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC. 3.
