Art History in Schools advances education in the field of Art History, in particular but not exclusively by providing training, support, curricula and materials to those teaching in schools, colleges and other educational institutions. AHiS is preparing the curriculum, teaching materials and CPD for the new A level syllabus, as well as enrichment programmes and primary school workshops.

THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT TO ADVANCE EDUCATION IN THE FIELD OF ART HISTORY, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY PROVIDING TRAINING, SUPPORT, CURRICULA AND MATERIALS TO THOSE TEACHING IN SCHOOLS, COLLEGES AND OTHER EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS. NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR THE PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005 AND SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008.
