Charitable objects
THE TRUSTEES SHALL HOLD THE CAPITAL AND INCOME OF THE TRUST FUND UPON TRUST TO PAY OR APPLY THE INCOME, AND ALL OR SUCH PART OR PARTS OF THE CAPITAL, AT SUCH TIME OR TIMES AND IN SUCH MANNER TO, OR FOR THE BENEFIT OF, THE FOLLOWING CHARITABLE PURPOSES: 3.1 THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE PUBLIC EDUCATION IN THE CONSERVATION OF DRESS AND TEXTILES OF ALL PERIODS AND THEIR DISPLAY; 3.2 THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE PUBLIC EDUCATION IN SOCIAL HISTORY BY THE CONSERVATION OF COLLECTIONS RELATING TO SOCIAL HISTORY; 3.3 THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE PUBLIC EDUCATION BY PROMOTING EDUCATION IN DRESS THROUGHOUT THE AGES AND ENCOURAGING THE PRESERVATION OF HISTORIC EXAMPLES AND SOURCE MATERIALS; AND 3.4 SUCH CHARITABLE PURPOSES FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN ANY PART OF THE WORLD AS ARE EXCLUSIVELY CHARITABLE ACCORDING TO THE LAWS OF ENGLAND AND WALES AS THE TRUSTEES MAY IN THEIR DISCRETION THINK FIT.
