Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE, FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC: (1) TO PROMOTE HUMAN RIGHTS (AS SET OUT IN THE UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS AND SUBSEQUENT UNITED NATIONS CONVENTIONS AND DECLARATIONS; THE EUROPEAN CONVENTION ON HUMAN RIGHTS; THE HUMAN RIGHTS ACT 1998; AND THE EQUALITY ACT 2010, AS THE SAME MAY FROM TIME BE AMENDED, RE-ENACTED OR REPLACED) IN PARTICULAR (BUT WITHOUT LIMITATION) BY MEANS OF: (A) RAISING AWARENESS OF HUMAN RIGHTS ISSUES, INCLUDING EXPLAINING DOMESTIC AND INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RIGHTS LAWS TO THE PUBLIC; (B) PROMOTING PUBLIC SUPPORT FOR HUMAN RIGHTS; AND (2) TO ADVANCE EDUCATION ON THE SUBJECT OF HUMAN RIGHTS IN PARTICULAR (BUT WITHOUT LIMITATION) BY RESEARCHING HUMAN RIGHTS AND MAKING THE RESULTS OF SUCH RESEARCH AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC.
