THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS THE FURTHERANCE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT OF THE FOLLOWING PURPOSES IN A MANNER WHICH PROMOTES MORAL AND ETHICAL PRINCIPLES BASED ON THE NOTIONS OF HUMAN DIGNITY, MUTUAL RESPECT AND UNDERSTANDING, HONESTY AND FAIRNESS AND CIVIC RESPONSIBILITY: (A) PROMOTING RELIGIOUS HARMONY AND EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY (B) PROMOTING COMMUNITY CAPACITY BUILDING IN SOCIALLY OR ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED COMMUNITIES. (C) RELIEVING POVERTY BY UNDERTAKING OR SUPPORTING RESEARCH INTO INEQUALITY AND OTHER FACTORS THAT CONTRIBUTE TO POVERTY AND THE MOST APPROPRIATE WAYS TO MITIGATE THESE. THE CIO'S AREA OF ACTIVITY WILL BE PRIMARILY, BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, THE UNITED KINGDOM.
