THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE, FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT: TO ADVANCE EDUCATION IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY THE PROVISION OF THE GURKHA MUSEUM AND THE PRESERVATION AND MAINTENANCE OF THE BRIGADE COLLECTION; AND TO PROMOTE THE EFFICIENCY OF THE ARMED FORCES BY UPHOLDING THE TRADITIONS AND ETHOS OF THE BRIGADE OF GURKHAS AND PERPETUATING ITS DEEDS.
