THE MOAT GARDEN PROJECT OWNS AND OPERATES THE MOAT GARDEN IN CASTLE CARY SOMERSET. THIS IS A COMMUNITY GARDEN CREATED, CULTIVATED AND USED BY PEOPLE OF ALL AGES AND ABILITIES. THE GARDEN IS OPEN TO ALL . OUR ACTIVITIES INCLUDE COMMUNITY GARDENING AND SUPPORT FOR LOCAL SCHOOLS WHOSE CHILDREN ARE INTERESTED IN GARDENING AND RELATED ACTIVITIES AS WELL AS SUPPORTING COMMUNITY EVENTS.

TO PROVIDE OR ASSIST IN THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION OR OTHER LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION OF INDIVIDUALS RESIDING IN CASTLE CARY, SOMERSET AND THE SURROUNDING AREA WHO HAVE NEED OF SUCH FACILITIES BY REASON OF THEIR YOUTH, AGE INFIRMITY OR DISABILITY, FINANCIAL HARDSHIP OR SOCIAL CIRCUMSTANCES WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THEIR CONDITIONS OF LIFE, IN PARTICULAR THROUGH THE FACILITATION OF A COMMUNITY GARDENING, GROWING AND VOLUNTEERING PROJECT.
