Activities - how the charity spends its money
Chelmsford Hindu Society runs various Hindu cultural and religious events through out the year. As there are no Hindu Community Centre or a place of worship within 20 miles radius from Chelmsford in Essex, the Society has established a the Hindu community centre and a place of worship where the community could meet and exchange and practice their religious and cultural traditions.

Charitable objects
THE CHARITY'S OBJECTS ARE, FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT: 1) TO ADVANCE THE HINDU RELIGION, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY THE PROVISION OF A HINDU TEMPLE AND A HINDU CULTURAL CENTRE; 2) TO FURTHER OR BENEFIT THE RESIDENTS OF CHELMSFORD AND THE NEIGHBOURHOOD, WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF SEX, SEXUAL ORIENTATION, RACE OR OF POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS BY ASSOCIATING TOGETHER THE SAID RESIDENTS AND THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES, VOLUNTARY AND OTHER ORGANISATIONS IN A COMMON EFFORT TO ADVANCE EDUCATION AND TO PROVIDE FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION AND LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECTIVE OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE RESIDENTS.
