Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: TO RELIEVE SICKNESS AND PROMOTE AND PROTECT GOOD HEALTH OF PEOPLE SUFFERING OR AT RISK OF SUFFERING CHRONIC DISEASES BY ADDRESSING THE BURDEN OF CHRONIC NON-COMMUNICABLE DISEASES THROUGH COORDINATED HIGH-QUALITY IMPLEMENTATION RESEARCH IN LOW- RESOURCE SETTINGS AND AMONG VULNERABLE POPULATIONS INCLUDING INDIGENOUS PEOPLES IN HIGH-INCOME COUNTRIES RELATING TO THE PREVENTION, TREATMENT, MANAGEMENT AND CARE THEREOF. NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR THE PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005 AND SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008.
