Charitable objects
1. THE PROMOTION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT OF THE CONSERVATION AND PROTECTION OF THE CROSS RIVER GORILLA AND IMPROVEMENT OF ITS PHYSICAL AND NATURAL ENVIRONMENT BY: - WORKING WITH ORGANISATIONS ACTIVE IN THE FIELD OF CONSERVATION, EDUCATION AND DEVELOPMENT; - ENABLING AND ENHANCING SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH ACTIVITY ON THE FLORA AND FAUNA OF THE RAINFOREST ECOSYSTEM. 2. PROMOTION OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT (MEETS NEEDS OF THE PRESENT WITHOUT COMPROMISING ABILITY OF FUTURE GENERATIONS TO MEET THEIR OWN NEEDS) FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC BY: - THE PRESERVATION, CONSERVATION AND THE PROTECTION OF THE ENVIRONMENT AND THE PRUDENT USE OF NATURAL RESOURCES; - THE RELIEF OF POVERTY AND THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE IN SOCIALLY AND ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED COMMUNITIES; - THE PROMOTION OF SUSTAINABLE MEANS OF ACHIEVING ECONOMIC GROWTH AND REGENERATION. 3. TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE CONSERVATION OF THE BIODIVERSITY OF RAINFOREST, IN HARMONY WITH HUMAN ACTIVITY.
