The website is open to all people throughout the World on which they can add Articles and Theses and Artworks for consideration by the committee. Since there may be more than 20,000 works, the catalogue is ongoing.

THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS: THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION, THE ARTS AND CULTURE, FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC IN ANY PART OF THE WORLD, BY THE CREATION, DEVELOPMENT, MAINTENANCE AND DISSEMINATION OF AN ACADEMIC CATALOGUE RAISONNÚ OF THE WORKS OF SIR EDWARD BURNE-JONES AND HIS STUDIO, INCLUDING BIBLIOGRAPHIES OF PUBLICATIONS RELATED TO THE SAID WORKS, INFORMATION REGARDING EXPERTS, AUTHORS, EDITORS AND CURATORS, EXHIBITIONS, ARTICLES, ACADEMIC WORKS AND THESES. NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR THE PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005] AND SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008.
