Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE ASSOCIATION ARE TO PROMOTE THE FOLLOWING CHARITABLE PURPOSES FOR THE BENEFIT AND WELFARE OF THE INHABITANTS OF LEEDS AND WEST YORKSHIRE IN PARTICULAR, BUT WITHOUT PREJUDICE TO THE GENERALITY OF THE FOREGOING,FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE WEST INDIAN COMMUNITY, THEIR FAMILIES AND FRIENDS LIVING IN LEEDS AND ITS NEIGHBOURHOOD TO PROMOTE THAT IS (A) THE RELIEF OF POVERTY, (B) THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION, (C) THE RELIEF OF SICKNESS, (K) THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR RECREATION IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE.
