TO RELIEVE THE DISTRESS AND SUFFERINGS OF PATIENTS, PARTICULARLY CHILDREN, ATTENDING OR ADMITTED TO ACCIDENT AND EMERGENCY UNITS AT HOSPITALS, OR THE ASSOCIATED EMERGENCY SERVICES, ACROSS NORTHUMBERLAND AND NORTH TYNESIDE BY PROVIDING SUCH EQUIPMENT, FACILITIES, AND AMENITIES WHICH ARE NOT NORMALLY PROVIDED BY THE STATUTORY AUTHORITIES.
