(1)PROVIDING OR ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION AT THE SCHOOL OF SUCH SPECIAL BENEFITS OF ANY KIND NOT NORMALLY PROVIDED BY THE LOCAL EDUCATION AUTHORITY AS MAY FROM TIME TO TIME BE AGREED BETWEEN THE SCHOOL GOVERNORS AND THE TRUSTEES; (2) PROMOTING THE EDUCATION (INCLUDING SOCIAL AND PHYSICAL TRAINING) OF PERSONS UNDER THE AGE OF 25 YEARS WHO ARE RESIDENT OR WHO HAVE A PARENT OR PARENTS RESIDENT IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT (PREFERENCE BEING GIVEN TO SUCH PERSONS WHO ARE RESIDENT OR WHO HAVE A PARENT OR PARENTS RESIDENT IN THE PARISHES OF ASKRIGG, BAINBRIDGE, HAWES, HIGH ABBOTSIDE OR LOW ABBOTSIDE).
