THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE TO ADVANCE THE CHRISTIAN FAITH FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC BY:- A) INSPIRING AND EQUIPPING CHRISTIANS AND CHURCHES TO REACH OUT TO AND SERVE OLDER PEOPLE; B) PRODUCING AND PROMOTING PUBLICATIONS, EDUCATION, RESEARCH, ADVICE, EVENTS, CONFERENCES, WORKSHOPS, AND OTHER ACTIVITIES WHICH ENCOURAGE AND ENABLE CHRISTIAN SERVICE OF AND BY OLDER PEOPLE; AND C) RAISING PUBLIC AWARENESS OF THE SOCIAL, PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND SPIRITUAL ISSUES FACED BY OLDER PEOPLE AND EFFECTIVE RESPONSES TO THOSE ISSUES. NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR THE PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE.
