THE RELIEF OF POVERTY FOR THOSE WHO ARE RESIDENT IN OR HAVE CONNECTIONS WITH THE PARISH OF THORNTON IN CRAVEN BY THE PROVISION OF SOCIAL HOUSING IN THE FORM OF ALMSHOUSES (AND TO UPKEEP AND REPAIR SUCH HOUSING) AND BY PROVIDING SUCH OTHER FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO THOSE ALMSHOUSE RESIDENTS.
