THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, TO PROMOTE THE CONSERVATION, PROTECTION AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE PHYSICAL, NATURAL AND SOCIAL ENVIRONMENT OF BIRKENHEAD PARK AND ITS SURROUNDINGS AND TO PROVIDE FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION AND LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECTIVE OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE INHABITANTS OF THE SURROUNDING AREA OF BIRKENHEAD PARK AND TO ADVANCE PUBLIC EDUCATION IN THE HISTORY, HERITAGE AND INTERNATIONAL SIGNIFICANCE OF BIRKENHEAD PARK.
