THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS:
TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC IN THE DRAMATIC AND OPERATIC ARTS, IN PARTICULAR THOUGH NOT EXCLUSIVELY IN LINCOLN AND THE SURROUNDING AREA, TO FURTHER THE DEVELOPMENT OF PUBLIC APPRECIATION AND TASTE IN THE SAID ARTS AND TO ASSIST AND FURTHER SUCH CHARITABLE INSTITUTIONS AND CHARITABLE PURPOSES AS THE TRUSTEES SHALL FROM TIME TO TIME DETERMINE.
