Charitable objects
3.1 THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE TO ADVANCE THE CHRISTIAN RELIGION ACCORDING TO THE TENETS OF THE FAITH ATTACHED AT APPENDIX 1 TO THIS CONSTITUTION, FOR ALL THOSE WITHIN LONDON AND IN PARTICULAR, CHELSEA AND SOUTH WEST LONDON (OR IN SUCH OTHER PLACES AS THE TRUSTEES SHALL IN THEIR ABSOLUTE DISCRETION DECIDED FROM TIME TO TIME), BY SUPPORTING, THROUGH THE MAKING OF GRANTS OR OTHERWISE: 3.1.1 PROVISION AND MAINTENANCE OF FACILITIES FOR PUBLIC WORSHIP; 3.1.2 THE PROVISION OF APPROPRIATELY TRAINED PEOPLE FOR THE CONDUCT OF PUBLIC WORSHIP AND PROVISION OF PASTORAL CARE; 3.1.3 OUTREACH AND EVANGELISM; 3.1.4 THE PROMOTION OF THE AWARENESS AND UNDERSTANDING OF THE DOCTRINE OF CHRISTIAN RELIGION ACCORDING TO THE STATEMENT OF FAITH AS APPENDED TO THIS CONSTITUTION; AND 3.1.5 ANY OTHER EXCLUSIVELY CHARITABLE PURPOSE OR PURPOSES (ACCORDING TO THE LAW IN ENGLAND AND WALES) WHICH THE TRUSTEES SHALL IN THEIR ABSOLUTE DISCRETION DETERMINE FROM TIME TO TIME. 3.2 NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR THE PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE.
