THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN TREES AND DEVELOP AMONG MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE AND APPRECIATION OF TREES AND OF THE AMENITY VALUE OF TREE COVER AS WELL AS ITS ECOLOGICAL INDISPENSABILITY BY 1/ ENCOURAGING THE PLANTING, CARE AND PROTECTION OF TREES PARTICULARLY IN KENT 2/ PROMOTING INTEREST IN AND KNOWLEDGE OF TREES AND THEIR HABITAT AND THE SCIENCES OF SILVICULTURE, ARBORICULTURE AND AGRO-FORESTRY.
