The objects of the CIO are: (1) To relieve the disability of visually impaired persons. (2) To provide facilities and services for the preservation of sight and to relieve the needs of persons who are visually impaired, by any means. (3) To advance education and to raise awareness of the causes and effects of sight loss. The CIO operates primarily across Lancashire and Sefton.
