Charitable objects
5.1 THE OBJECTS OF THE CHARITY ARE, TO THE EXTENT THAT THE SAME ARE EXCLUSIVELY CHARITABLE AND FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION, CULTURE AND THE BUILT AND NATURAL HERITAGE, AND THE CONSERVATION, PROTECTION AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE NATURAL ENVIRONMENT, PARTICULARLY BY ENABLING: (A) THE MAINTENANCE, RESTORATION, REPAIR AND PRESERVATION OF CASTLE HOWARD, AND ITS ASSOCIATED HISTORIC STRUCTURES AND LANDSCAPE AS A PLACE OF NATURAL BEAUTY AND RICH BIODIVERSITY; (B) THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES AND SERVICES TO PROMOTE THE STUDY, APPRECIATION AND UNDERSTANDING OF CASTLE HOWARD'S BUILT AND NATURAL ENVIRONMENT, IN THEIR HISTORICAL, CULTURAL, ARCHITECTURAL, SOCIAL AND ECOLOGICAL CONTEXTS; (C) THE DISPLAY AND INTERPRETATION AT CASTLE HOWARD OF ARTISTIC WORKS AND ARTEFACTS, AND THE PROGRAMMING OF CULTURAL EXPERIENCES FOR THE PURPOSES OF PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT; AND (D) THE PROMOTION AND SUPPORT OF HERITAGE, CRAFT AND OTHER SKILLS AND TRAINING ESSENTIAL FOR THE ABOVE.
