THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: (A) TO PROMOTE THE EFFICIENCY OF THE CORPS IN SUCH CHARITABLE WAYS AS THE TRUSTEES MAY DECIDE INCLUDING THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION OF THE MEMBERS OF THE CORPS AND THE PRESERVATION OF THE TRADITIONS OF THE CORPS AND FORMING CORPS, AND: (B) THE RELIEF OF PERSONS WHO: (I) ARE IN NEED BY VIRTUE OF FINANCIAL HARDSHIP OR DISTRESS, AND: (II) ARE SERVING OR FORMER MEMBERS OF THE CORPS OR FORMER MEMBERS OF THE FORMING CORPS, OR THE DEPENDANTS OF SUCH PERSONS.
