Charitable objects
1. PURPOSES 1.1 THE OBJECTS OF THE CHARITY ARE, FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, THE ADVANCEMENT OF SCIENCE AND THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION, IN EACH CASE, IN THE FIELDS OF FUNDAMENTAL MATHEMATICS, THEORETICAL PHYSICS, METHODOLOGY OF HUMAN SCIENCES AND OTHER RELATED THEORETICAL DISCIPLINES, IN PARTICULAR (BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY) BY: 1.1.1 PROMOTING APPRECIATION AND UNDERSTANDING OF SCIENCE WHICH HAS ORIGINATED IN FRANCE AND FURTHERING BRITISH AND FRENCH RELATIONS ON SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH AND DEBATE; 1.1.2 CARRYING OUT AND FACILITATING SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH IN THESE FIELDS AND PROMOTING AND PUBLISHING THE USEFUL RESULTS OF THE SAME; 1.1.3 PARTICIPATING IN SCIENTIFIC DEBATE IN THESE FIELDS; AND 1.1.4 RAISING PUBLIC AWARENESS AND UNDERSTANDING OF THESE FIELDS AND RELATED SCIENTIFIC THEORIES AND DEVELOPMENTS IN THESE FIELDS. 1.2 NOTHING IN THE OBJECTS SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF PROPERTY FOR PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH S.7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005.
