Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE 1.1 TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT THE HEALTH OF ADULTS LIVING WITH SIGHT LOSS DISABILITY AND WHO ARE VISUALLY IMPAIRED IN TELFORD BY PROVIDING AND ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES AND SUPPORT SERVICES NOT NORMALLY PROVIDED BY THE STATUTORY AUTHORITIES. 1.2 TO PROVIDE OR ASSIST IN THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION OR OTHER LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION OF ADULT INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE NEED OF SUCH FACILITIES BY REASON OF THEIR VISUAL IMPAIRMENT AND SIGHT LOSS DISABILITY, FINANCIAL HARDSHIP OR SOCIAL CIRCUMSTANCES WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THEIR CONDITIONS OF LIFE. 1.3 TO RELIEVE THE NEEDS OF PERSONS WHO ARE CARING FOR OR NURSING A PERSON WITH VISUAL IMPAIRMENT AND SIGHT LOSS DISABILITY IN ANY PLACE OTHER THAN AN INSTITUTION OR NURSING HOME AS DEFINED BY THE NATIONAL ASSISTANCE ACT 1948 AND CHRONICALLY SICK AND DISABLED PERSONS ACT 1970, AND THE RELIEF OF PEOPLE WHO ARE LIVING WITH VISUAL IMPAIRMENT OR ARE SIGHT LOSS DISABLED BY THE PROVISION OF TRAINING, SUPPORT AND ADVICE FOR THOSE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR CARE.
