THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS: TO ADVANCE EDUCATION FOR PUBLIC BENEFIT IN SUCH PARTS OF THE UK AS THE TRUSTEES SHALL DECIDE WITH PARTICULAR EMPHASIS ON LIFELONG LEARNING BY PROVIDING SUPPORT AND ACTIVITIES WHICH DEVELOP AN INDIVIDUAL’S CAPABILITIES, COMPETENCES, SKILLS AND UNDERSTANDING AND IN PARTICULAR THROUGH THE PROVISION OF STRUCTURED LEARNING PROGRAMMES, ALIGNED WITH MODERN EDUCATIONAL PRACTICES, IN BOTH EDUCATIONAL AND COMMUNITY SETTINGS.
