Charitable objects
3.1 THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE TO ADVANCE SUCH CHARITABLE PURPOSES FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT (ACCORDING TO THE LAW OF ENGLAND AND WALES) AS THE CHARITY TRUSTEES SEE FIT FROM TIME TO TIME, IN PARTICULAR, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE PROVISION OF FINANCIAL GRANTS TO SUPPORT: 3.1.1 THE PROMOTION OF GOOD HEALTH AND THE RELIEF OF SICKNESS THROUGH THE SUPPORT OF IMPROVED FACILITIES FOR PATIENT CARE; 3.1.2 THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION; 3.1.3 MAJOR ART AND CULTURAL INSTITUTIONS AND HERITAGE SITES OF NATIONAL SIGNIFICANCE; AND 3.1.4 THE RELIEF OF POVERTY AND THE RELIEF OF NEED BY REASON OF FINANCIAL HARDSHIP, ILL HEALTH OR DISABILITY, AGE, YOUTH, OR SUCH OTHER CHARITABLE NEED AS THE CHARITY TRUSTEES DECIDE.
