TO PROMOTE THE FINE AND APPLIED ARTS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC BY THE PROVISION OF GRANTS, BURSARIES AND OTHER FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO SCHOOLS OF ART, OTHER ART EDUCATIONAL ESTABLISHMENTS, ART ORGANIZATIONS, ARTISTS OR GROUPS OF ARTISTS, ART STUDENTS OR GROUPS OF ART STUDENTS, ART TEACHERS AND LECTURERS OR GROUPS OF ART TEACHERS AND LECTURERS, AND ANY BODY WHICH RUNS A SCHOOL OR ART SCHOOL OR OTHERWISE PROMOTES OR DEVELOPS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC THE DEVELOPMENT, STUDY, RESEARCH AND PRACTICE OF ART IN ALL ITS BRANCHES, BUT IN PARTICULAR PAINTING, DRAWING, SCULPTURE, PHOTOGRAPHY, AND FINE AND APPLIED ART.
