TO ADVANCE THE CHRISTIAN RELIGION IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE POLICY OF THE EXETER DIOCESAN SYNOD ESTABLISHED UNDER THE SYNODICAL GOVERNMENT MEASURE 1969 AND IN PARTICULAR BY PROMOTING AND CO-ORDINATING CHRISTIAN THOUGHT AND ACTION AMONGST CHRISTIAN PEOPLE IN THE DIOCESE OF EXETER IN MATTERS CONCERNING FAMILY, SOCIAL AND WORKING LIFE AND RELIEVING AS AN ADOPTION SOCIETY DESTITUTE OR ORPHANED CHILDREN BY FINDING HOMES FOR THEM.
