(1) TO RELIEVE THE SUFFEERING OF GREYHOUNDS WHO ARE IN NEED OF CARE AND PROTECTION AND IN PARTICULAR BY PROVIDING AND MAINTAINING OR ASSISTING IN PROVISION AND MAINTENANCE OF KENNELS AND OTHER FACILITIES FOR THE RECEPTION AND CARE OF RACING GREYHOUNDS WHO ARE RETIRED AND UNWANTED OR WHO ARE OTHERWISE IN NEED OF CARE AND PROTECTION.(2)TO PLACE GREYHOUNDS IN SUCH PERMANENT HOMES AS THE TRUSTEES MAY CONSIDER APPROPRIATE.
