(1) THE RELIEF EITHER GENERALLY OR INDIVIDUALLY OF CHILDREN OF OFFICERS AND OTHER RANKS WHO SERVED WITH THE KING'S ROYAL RIFLE CORPS OR THE RIFLE BRIGADE DURING THE SECOND WORLD WAR OF 1939 TO 1945 AND WHO WERE KILLED OR DIED ON ACTIVE SERVICE DURING THAT WAR OR WHO DIED AFTER THAT WAR FROM ANY CAUSE ATTRIBUTABLE TO THEIR SERVICE DURING THAT WAR WHO ARE IN CONDITIONS OF NEED, HARDSHIP OR DISTRESS. (2) TOWARDS THE COST OF MAINTAINING AND REPAIRING THE WAR MEMORIALS OF THE REGIMENT
