TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC, IN PARTICULAR, BY THE AWARD OF BURSARIES AND SCHOLARSHIPS TO ENABLE STUDENTS AND LECTURERS TO VISIT THE U.K. AND CZECHOSLOVAKIA TO PURSUE THEIR STUDIES AND ALSO BY THE PROVISION AND SPONSORSHIP OF PLAYS, CONCERTS AND ANY OTHER EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF THE U.K. AND CZECHOSLOVAKIA.
