TO TAKE OVER THE ASSETS AND LIABILITIES OF THE HEREFORDSHIRE AND GLOUCESTERSHIRE CANAL SOCIETY AND TO ENTER INTO SUCH AGREEMENTS AND TO TAKE ALL SUCH STEPS AS MAY BE NECESSARY FOR THAT PURPOSE.TO PPROMOTE THE RESTORATION TO GOOD AND NAVIGABLE ORDER OF AS MUCH AS IS CONSIDERED POSSIBLE OF THE HEREFORDSHIRE AND GLOUCESTERSHIRE CANAL (HEREINAFTER TOGETHER CALLED THE WATERWAY) AND TO MAINTAIN AND IMPROVE THE WATERWAY FOR THE USE AND BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC.
