MEMORANDUM AND ARTICLES OF ASSOCIATION INCORPORATED 11 NOVEMBER 1992 AND AMENDED ON 1 SEPTEMBER 2003 AND 10 JUNE 2009
Charitable objects
1) TO ADVANCE IN LIFE RELIEVE THE NEEDS OF AND SUPPORT CHILDREN YOUNG PEOPLE AND ADULTS, IN PARTICULAR THOSE WHO ARE DISADVANTAGED BY FINANCIAL HARDSHIP PHYSICAL LEARNING OR OTHER SPECIFIC DISABILITY OR IMPAIRMENT OR CONDITION OR WITH OTHER SPECIAL NEEDS, ESPECIALLY BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY THROUGH: (A) THE PROVISION OF SOCIAL RECREATIONAL AND LEISURE TIME AND EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES AND OPPORTUNITIES PROVIDED IN THE INTEREST OF SOCIAL WELFARE, DESIGNED TO IMPROVE THEIR CONDITIONS OF LIFE; (B) PROVIDING SUPPORT TRAINING SUPERVISION CARE AND ACTIVITIES AND OPPORTUNITIES WHICH DEVELOP THEIR PERSONAL ABILITIES AND SKILLS, CAPACITIES AND CAPABILITIES TO ENABLE THEM TO PARTICIPATE IN SOCIETY AS MATURE MORE SELF INDEPENDENT AND RESPONSIBLE INDIVIDUALS. (C) TO ACT AS A RESOURCE FOR CHILDREN YOUNG PEOPLE AND ADULTS LIVING IN THE SOUTH WEST PENINSULA AND IN PARTICULAR WITHIN DEVON AND CORNWALL AND THEIR FAMILIES AND CARERS BY PROVIDING ADVICE AND ASSISTANCE AND FACILITATING ACCESS TO RESPITE AND OTHER SUPPORT SERVICES. (2) TO ADVANCE EDUCATION IN PARTICULAR AS REGARDS THE SPECIFIC NEEDS OF DISADVANTAGED AND DISABLED CHILDREN YOUNG PEOPLE AND ADULTS; TO FOSTER UNDERSTANDING AND AWARENESS OF EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY IN PARTICULAR FOR THE BENEFIT OF DISADVANTAGED AND DISABLED CHILDREN YOUNG PEOPLE AND ADULTS. (3) TO PROMOTE THE SOCIAL INCLUSION GOOD HEALTH SAFEGUARDING ENJOYMENT AND ACHIEVEMENT OF, THE MAKING OF POSITIVE CONTRIBUTIONS TO SOCIETY THE COMMUNITY AND THE LIVES OF, AND THE ACHIEVEMENT OF ECONOMIC WELL-BEING AND INCREASING THE EMPLOYABILITY OF, VULNERABLE AND DISADVANTAGED CHILDREN YOUNG PERSONS, ADULTS AND THEIR FAMILIES WITHIN THE SOUTH WEST PENINSULA AND IN PARTICULAR WITHIN DEVON AND CORNWALL.
