Parents' Aid provides a package of support services to families involved with the Social Services Department or at risk of social exclusion: information, advocacy, support & befriending, family mediation, anger & aggression management, effective parenting skills and personal therapy where requested. We also give users free information booklets & offer a 24/7 information phone line.

Charitable objects
(I) TO PROMOTE THE PRESERVATION OF FAMILY LIFE BY SEEKING TO PREVENT THE SEPERATION OF CHILDREN FROM THEIR PARENTS AND WHERE THEY ARE SEPARATED SEEKING TO PROMOTE THE RETURN OF CHILDREN TO THEIR NATURAL FAMILY UNIT; (II) TO RELIEVE POVERTY BY PROVIDING LEGAL SERVICES TO PARENTS WHOSE CHILDREN HAVE BEEN TAKEN INTO LOCAL AUTHORITY CARE OR AT RISK OF BEING TAKEN INTO SUCH CARE AND WHO CANNOT PROVIDE SUCH SERVICES FROM THEIR OWN RESOURCES; (III) TO RESERVE AND PROTECT THE GOOD HEALTH BOTH MENTAL AND PHYSICAL OF FAMILIES WHOSE CHILDREN HAVE BEEN TAKEN INTO LOCAL AUTHORITY CARE OR ARE AT RISK OF BEING TAKEN INTO SUCH CARE BY THE PROVISION OF COUNSELLING AND ADVICE.
