Charitable objects
1) TO ASSIST AND RELIEVE YOUNG PERSONS UNDER 25 YEARS OF AGE RESIDENT PERMANENTLY OR FOR THE TIME BEING IN OR IMMEDIATELY OUTSIDE THE TOWN OF BRIGHTLINGSEA WHO ARE IN THE OPINION OF THE TRUSTEES AND AT THEIR ABSOLUTE DISCRETION ARE IN FINANCIAL NEED AND WHO ARE PREPARING FOR, ENTERING UPON OR ENGAGAED IN ANY PROFESSION TRADE OCCUPATION OR SERVICE. 2) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION AND SOCIAL AND PHYSICAL TRAINING OF SUCH YOUNG PERSONS SO AS TO ASSIST IN DEVELOPING FULLY THEIR PHYSICAL AND MENTAL CAPACITIES SO THAT THEY MAY ATTAIN FULL MATURITY AS INDIVIDUALS AND MEMBERS OF SOCIETY AND THAT THEIR CONDITIONS OF LIFE MAY BE IMPROVED. 3) THE RELIEF OF POVERTY AMONGST RESIDENTS OF BRIGHTLINGSEA PARTICULARLY AMONGST THOSE WHO ARE UNEMPLOYED BY THE PROVISION OF GRANTS TO ENABLE SUCH PERSONS TO UNDERTAKE A COURSE OF STUDY OR VOCATIONAL OR EMPLOYMENT TRAINING.
