TO PROMOTE AND DEVELOP THE STUDY OF ANCIENT MINING TECHNIQUES INCLUDING ASSISTANCE WITH THE FUNDING OF ARCHAEOLOGICAL EXPLORATION OF ANCIENT MINING SITES IN THE UNITED KINGDOM AND THE PRESERVATION OF SUCH SITES AND THE ARTEFACTS LOCATED THEREAT AND TO PROVIDE FOR THE PUBLICATION AND EXHIBITION OF THE RESULTS OF SUCH STUDY FOR THE EDUCATIONAL BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC.
