TO PROMOTE THE WELFARE AND INDEPENDENCE OF DISABLED PERSONS IN, OR VISITING FURNESS AND THE AREA SURROUNDING FURNESS BY PROVIDING THEM WITH ELECTRIC OR MANUAL WHEELCHAIRS OR SCOOTERS ON LOAN FOR PERIODS OF NOT MORE THAN A DAY, FREE OF CHARGE TO ENABLE THEM TO GO TO THE SHOPS AND PLACES OF INTEREST
