Charitable objects
TO PRESERVE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE RESIDENTS OF THE LONDON BOROUGH OF TOWER HAMLETS AND FOR THE NATION THE FORMER CHURCH OF ST MATTHIAS POPLAR SITUATED IN THE SAID BOROUGH AS A BUILDING OF EXCEPTIONAL ARCHITECTURAL AND HISTORIC VALUE. TO PROMOTE THE SAID BUILDING FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE SAID PERSONS BY ADVANCING ASSISTING IN THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION AND PROVIDING OR ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR RECREATION OR LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE SAID PERSONS.
