Charitable objects
1 TO PROMOTE THE BENEFIT OF INHABITANTS OF THE AREA ENCLOSED BY THE POLITICAL WARD BOUNDARIES OF BRUNSWICK AND ADELAIDE WITHOUT THE DISTINCTION OF RACE OR SEX, OR OF POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS BY ASSOCIATING THE LOCAL VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS AND INHABITANTS IN A COMMON EFFORT TO ADVANCE EDUCATION AND TO PROVIDE FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION AND LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE SAID INHABITANTS 2 TO ESTABLISH OR SECURE THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A COMMUNITY CENTRE AND TO MAINTAIN AND MANAGE OR CO-OPERATE WITH ANY LOCAL STATUTORY AUTHORITY IN THE MAINTENANCE AND MANAGEMENT OF SUCH A CENTRE FOR ACTIVITIES PROMOTED BY THE ORGANISATION AND CONSTITUENT BODIES IN FURTHERANCE OF THE ABOVE OBJECTS. THE ORGANISATION SHALL BE NON-PARTY IN POLITICS AND NON-SECTARIAN IN RELIGION. THE ORGANISATION SHALL HAVE POWER TO AFFILIATE TO COMMUNITY MATTERS AND OTHER ORGANISATIONS WITH SIMILAR CHARITABLE OBJECTS 3 TO DO ALL LAWFUL ACTS AS ARE ESSENTIAL OR CONDUCIVE TO THE ATTAINING OF THE ABOVE OBJECTS OR ANY OF THEM. PROVIDED ALWAYS THAT FUNDS OF THE CENTRE OR ANY INCOME SHALL NOT BE APPLIED TO OR FOR ANY PURPOSE THAT IS NOT LEGALLY CHARITABLE
